Team Taska Juniors at the BYCAC

Taska was present at the BYCAC down at Brasenose 2 on the Richworth Linear Complex last week. We had a number of young anglers competing in the competition and also had a number of sponsored pegs at the event.

The fantastic event run by Crafty Carper moved location onto Brasenose 2 this year and it has certainly been a memorable year with temperatures getting higher than ever, ensuring that the anglers had to use all the knowledge in their angling armoury to get fish feeding.

Team Taska Junior angler Jordan Dallinson was the first member of the team to fish in the competition, he placed high enough on Wednesday to get through to the final which run from Friday until Sunday.

We also had Craig Davies and Jake Graves-Whiting fishing the competition on the Thursday. Thursday was a very quiet day in terms of fishing as not many fish came out, possibly due to the intense heat, the carp were not even taking bait off the top! Craig and Jake never made it into the final but had a thoroughly enjoyable time and went home with a goody bag each and a tan!

Congratulations to this years winner Joshua Jones who landed a total of 17 fish from peg 17 weighing a total of 215lb 1oz

From seeing this years event we can guaruntee that next year will be even better, well done to the guys at Crafty Carper for organising the even and everyone involved.
